Cody Gakpo has revealed Arne Slott’s message to his players before every game, as Liverpool seek their first Premier League title since 2020.
The Reds now lead the Premier League by five points after Manchester City dropped three points at Brighton, while the Slot team won 2-0 at Aston Villa last night.
The Merseyside side have made a strong start to the 2024-25 season, winning 15 of their 17 games so far in all competitions.
However, Liverpool are not showing any more joy in winning the title as they still see it as a team that it is too early to think about winning the title.
Dutch forward Gakpo revealed what his coach told him to aim for the win in order to get a good result at the end of every game.
Speaking Gakpo said, “No, it’s still early, first of all we have to play well.
The coach looks at us in every game as if we are still not playing the way he wanted, he demands 100% from us in every game to show our strength, we do what we can.
He tells us the coach to focus on the games first and not to worry about the ranking of the League because it is too early, said the Dutch star Gakpo.
